Samara Lipsky
Studying at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) in Illinois, Samara Lipsky is a researcher and PhD student in the international psychology program. This author and award winner previously earned a bachelor degree from Emory University in business administration as well as a master’s degree in psychology from the same higher education institute. She then continued on at TCSPP thanks to the President’s Scholarship, able to pursue her research and doctoral dreams. Since beginning at TCSPP, Lipsky’s work has earned her a two-year fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as well as multiple conference and research publication awards. She still continues her PhD and research today at TCSPP.

Samara Lipsky’s life isn’t only about the work she does. In addition to her immense pride in her career accomplishments, Samara Lipsky also has a keen appreciation for the uniqueness of her Jewish heritage. When she was growing up in New York City, on the Upper East Side, she graduated from a Modern Orthodox school, the Raman School. she also served as a staff member with the Union for Reform Judaism, she has been a Hebrew teacher with the Reform Temple Israel, also in her old neighborhood, and she has tutored many young Jewish people in preparation for their bar and bat mitzvahs.

It is quite obvious that her choice to have a career as a psychologist has already served Samara Lipsky well. She does hope it will go on for a very long time. However, her studies are still not complete. She is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s (TCSPP) International Psychology program, which she is partly paying for with the President's Scholarship to attend TSCPP. In fact, that isn’t the only honor Samara Lipsky has accumulated. She has accumulated many awards and accolades over the years, including her induction into the Edward Alexander Bouchet Graduate Honor Society at Yale University and the Meritorious Student Abstract Award at the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Annual Conference.

Samara Lipsky is determined to improve her psychological profession in any way she could. A prolific writer, Samara’s work has appeared in many publications, including prestigious professional journals in her field and in the public health arena in general. Samara also has presented at multiple conferences on public health issues and she has co-authored at least three book chapters.

Samara LipskyThough she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the International Psychology program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP), the fact of the matter is, Samara Lipsky can point to a very significant career in the area of psychology. Her education is significant and somewhat diverse, so the doctoral work is just icing on the proverbial cake. Previously, Samara earned an undergraduate degree in business from Emory University, from their infamous Goizueta Business School. Samara Lipsky then followed that by earning a Masters Degree in Psychology a few years later and completing a two-year predoctoral research fellowship with the fine doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Samara Lipsky isn’t all about work and career. She also feels a significant level of pride in her Jewish heritage. She grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, where she graduated from the Modern Orthodox Raman School, located in her neighborhood. In more recent times, Samara was once a staffer with the Union for Reform Judaism and she has been a Hebrew teacher at the Reform Temple Israel in her old neighborhood. If that’s not enough, Samara Lipsky has tutored numerous Jewish young people and helped them prepare for their bar and bat mitzvahs.
