Samara Lipsky’s life isn’t only about the work she does. In addition to her immense pride in her career accomplishments, Samara Lipsky also has a keen appreciation for the uniqueness of her Jewish heritage. When she was growing up in New York City, on the Upper East Side, she graduated from a Modern Orthodox school, the Raman School. she also served as a staff member with the Union for Reform Judaism, she has been a Hebrew teacher with the Reform Temple Israel, also in her old neighborhood, and she has tutored many young Jewish people in preparation for their bar and bat mitzvahs.

It is quite obvious that her choice to have a career as a psychologist has already served Samara Lipsky well. She does hope it will go on for a very long time. However, her studies are still not complete. She is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s (TCSPP) International Psychology program, which she is partly paying for with the President's Scholarship to attend TSCPP. In fact, that isn’t the only honor Samara Lipsky has accumulated. She has accumulated many awards and accolades over the years, including her induction into the Edward Alexander Bouchet Graduate Honor Society at Yale University and the Meritorious Student Abstract Award at the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s Annual Conference.

Samara Lipsky is determined to improve her psychological profession in any way she could. A prolific writer, Samara’s work has appeared in many publications, including prestigious professional journals in her field and in the public health arena in general. Samara also has presented at multiple conferences on public health issues and she has co-authored at least three book chapters.
